Here at OTHERWORLD, our playlists are a big deal. So when it was time to create a playlist to set the mood for your best Valentine's Day yet, we did not take the job lightly. It's 3 hours and 15 minutes of pure smooth and sultry-ness. Truly our most favorite playlist to date. Enjoy, lovers!
This Portland based e-zine has a pulse on all things artful and inspiring, so when we met the founder Holly in Brooklyn this summer, we were honored when she asked us to collaborate. Read about our plans for the future, where we hope to travel next and how the name OTHERWORLD originated - all on Eyes & Edge.
E&E: Where did the name OTHERWORLD come from?
O: My goal has always been to create pieces that make women feel worldly, exotic and free. So when it came to capture that feeling in a single word, I wanted women to feel ‘otherworldly’. I love traveling to places that take you out of your comfort zone and make you feel like you’re worlds away from your every day life. I hope to electrify the adventurous spirit in all of us.
One of our favorite things about running this brand is seeing all the creative ways our customers style their OTHERWORLD piece. Emily Men took it to a whole new level by pairing our New Medina Palms kimono with these amazing velvet overalls from Free People. Check out the pics below and head to her blog to read more!
So when you're chilling in front of the TV and The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills come on, the last thing you're expecting is to see is your design on the season 6 intro. Talk about a double take. Yep, here's Kyle Richards rocking our Grotte D' Hercule kimono in the opening series teaser.
The gorgeous mama of two and style blogger Jess from Lipstick Heels and Baby shows us that kimonos aren't for the summer only. We're digging the way she paired our Grotte D' Hercule kimono over a cozy sweater. Check out her tips below and read more on her blog.
"I just received this kimono and couldn't wait until warmer weather to throw it on. But kimonos are not just warm weather pieces! I threw it over one of my favorite sweaters that I probably wear too often to switch up the look. I also will be able to wear this kimono as a tie coverup over my swimsuit. Stay tuned for ways to wear this kimono over all types of outfits!"
In our eyes, there's nothing more spectacular than the perfection of Mother Nature. So it goes without saying that Conde Nast Traveler's 50 Most Beautiful Places in the World is one of our favorite galleries to peruse. We want to see all of it. Like, immediately. But in the short term, relaxing in bed, in awe over the spectacular beauty of these places will certainly do. Enjoy, adventurers.
